Use of WS Code[]
The application of Squadron code on the Spitfires in this story is incorrect. Of the two units linked to the WS code, 9 Squadron was a bomber unit, and 275 Squadron, although allocated code WS for the period April - September 1939, used squadron code PV from it's formation on 15 October 1941 .[1]
